The present study of quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional type was carried out in order to determine the relationship between the level of abilities and self-care actions to prevent osteoporosis in perimenopausal women hospitalized in the Gynecology Service of the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo, 2018. We worked with a sample of 130 perimenopausal women. Based on the Orem theory, two instruments were applied: Scale "Self-care capabilities to prevent osteoporosis in perimenopausal women" and Scale "Self-care actions to prevent osteoporosis in perimenopausal women".
