HAPPY 8 a 12 es un programa creado en España que favorece la resolución de conflictos de manera asertiva. La finalidad de este artículo fue evaluar la efectividad de “HAPPY 8-12” en Chile. El estudio se realizó a partir de un diseño cuasi-experimental con pre y post-test y grupo control, aplicándose Análisis de Varianza de Medidas Repetidas para determinar la efectividad del programa. Para evaluar se utilizó la escala de Evaluación de la Competencia Socio-Emocional (ECSE), a 197 estudiantes de educación primaria (3° a 6° año), de ellos 96 son hombres y 101 mujeres, sus edades fluctúan entre los 8 y 12 años. Los resultados evidencian modificaciones positivas en los estudiantes pertenecientes al grupo experimental, lo cual permiten sostener que este programa ha sabido responder a una necesidad formativa existente en el sistema educativo chileno.

The study was carried out from a quasi-experimental design with pre and post-test and control group, applying Analysis of Variance of Repeated Measures to determine the effectiveness of the program.
