The objective of this study was to quantify the carbon fixation and storage of trees in the main streets, avenues and squares of the city of Iquitos. The research is quantitative-qualitative, diagnostic, descriptive and propositional in nature. The diagnosis of the identified species was made, dasometric evaluation of the species, evaluation of carbon capture, the dependence relationship between diameter and breast height vs carbon dioxide CO2 capture was analyzed. In the squares and parks, 14 different species were evaluated, the predominant species being the oil palm with 124 specimens, for the main avenues, 14 different species were evaluated, the most predominant species is the manila palm with 85 specimens, and the main streets were evaluated with 8 different species. where the most predominant species is manila palm with a total of 33 specimens.
