Young student’s health of universities in Metropolitan Lima needs an empirical input because it is affected physically, socially and psychologically. That is why the purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between rumination and harmful alcohol drinking in this population. Two hundred eighty students were evaluated (M = 20.50 age, SD = 2.23, 63.57% of women) during the first four years of their professional career, through a non-probabilistic sampling by convenience, with the Ruminative Response Scale (RRS) and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT).
