Este estudio sistematiza la literatura científica sobre el análisis de costo-volumen-utilidad (CVP) en la planeación de utilidades empresariales, siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA. A partir de una búsqueda exhaustiva en bases de datos como Scopus, WoS y SciELO, se identificaron inicialmente 468 documentos, de los cuales 25 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión para análisis detallado. Los resultados destacan una evolución metodológica en el uso de CVP desde enfoques tradicionales hacia modelos que integran consideraciones ambientales y gestionan la incertidumbre. Se observa una tendencia hacia prácticas de gestión más sostenibles y estratégicamente informadas.
