Se presenta el caso de una mujer de 36 años, primigesta, quien en el cuarto mes de gestación presentó una lesión en la zona vestibular nasal derecha, secundaria a rinorrea acuosa por rinitis aguda viral; debido a la manipulación continua, la lesión sufría erosiones recurrentes y con el tiempo desarrolló una tumoración que creció hasta protruir hacia el exterior. La extirpación se realizó dos meses después del parto, y el estudio anátomo-patológico reveló hemangioma capilar lobular. Debido a que el lugar de presentación es inusual se reporta el caso y se realizó una revisión del tema.

We present the case of a 49-year-old female patient attending the otorhinolaryngology service with a 3-month history of pain and neck rigidity plus instability. A contrast MRI of the posterior fossa revealed a nodular lesion in the nasopharynx compatible with a Thornwaldt cyst. A nasal endoscopy confirmed the diagnosis. Excision of the cyst under trans nasal endoscopy was performed. Instability persisted but neck pain and neck rigidity improved. We carried-out a literature review.

We present the case of a 53-year-old female patient who presented with one-year history of mixed frequency tinnitus of the left ear and sudden development of unilateral deafness. She received treatment with oral steroids plus intratympanic infiltrations. Imaging studies using CT-Scan and MRI disclosed a solid tumor of well-defined borders in the union of the petrosal and squamous portions of the left temporal bone. A mastoidectomy was performed, the anatomopathological studies revealed a xanthoma of the temporal bone. A literature review was performed.
