OBJECTIVE: To establish the morbidity and mortality rate of General Surgery patients according to the P-POSSUM system at the Belén de Trujillo Hospital. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Descriptive, observational, longitudinal study. 254 medical records of patients treated at the General Surgery Service of the Belen de Trujillo Hospital, period December 2018 - February 2019, were analyzed. Morbidity and mortality were evaluated using the P-POSSUM system. Introducción. El déficit congénito de factor X es un trastorno autosómico recesivo de baja prevalencia 1:1 000000. No se han reportado casos en el Perú. La manifestación clínica más frecuente es epistaxis, y según la gravedad, puede aparecer gingivorragia, hemartrosis o hemorragia intracraneal. En el Perú no se dispone del tratamiento ideal (Factor X Puro). Reporte: Paciente mujer de 16 años con diagnóstico de Déficit de Factor X y 27 hospitalizaciones previas, acude por un nuevo episodio de epistaxis y hematomas espontáneos, es tratada provisionalmente con plasma fresco congelado y ácido tranexámico. Evoluciona favorablemente y espera por el tratamiento ideal.
