The aim of this study was to analyze the association between climatic variables and malaria cases in the city of Iquitos in the years 2000 to 2011. To this end, historical data on malaria cases and climatic variables (mean temperature, precipitation were used and relative humidity), provided by the Regional Health address Loreto and the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (SENAMHI) respectively. The study was basic, descriptive - correlational; no experimental design - longitudinal. To determine the relationship between climatic variables and malaria cases, proof of Pearson linear correlation was used. It was observed that the relative humidity was positively correlated with malaria cases (r=0.508), with p= 0.000 significance: while the average temperature and precipitation showed no relationship with p = 0.0523 and 0.463 respectively. Therefore we conclude that cases of malari...
