Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en el Centro de Salud del MINSA de Colcaliamlia, Tayacaja, departamento de Huancavelica, con el objetivo de conocer las características epidemiológicas y clínicas de la Malaria vivax, durante el año 1998. Se presentaron 576 casos, siendo más frecuentes en varones (66,84%), agricultores (41,42%), educación primaria (63,60%) y entre 15 a 44 años (52.08%). El 94,62% fueron casos autóctonos provenientes de las localidades de Huayo (91,49%) y Píleos (3, 13%). Las manifestaciones no variaron del cuadro clínico clásico representado por fiebre (100,00%, escalofríos (100,00%), cefalea (95.66%), malestar general (90,63%) y sudoración (83,33%). OBJECTIVE: To determine the incidence and clinical and epidemiological characteristics of pregnant adolescents seen in birth, CS Acobamba Huancavelica in 1998. DESIGN: A retrospective study of pregnant teenagers was conducted. RESULTS: an incidence of 16% was found, all related to late adolescence (15-19 years). To determine the main factors associated with high maternal and perinatal mortality Yauli District. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Between January and December 1997, an active search of death recording level not only of health but also from the records of the 32 communities in the District of Yauli was performed.
