In the present academic work will be detailed the steps to consider for an efficient choice of pumping units of a pressurized irrigation. It is intended to obtain a manual so that each agricultural engineer can be guided in the choice of the irrigation pump considering as guiding parameters the efficiency of the same and the energy cost along its projected use. This work assumes a correct hydraulic design of the system to be pressurized, so the initial data to be taken into account will be the flows and pressures of the shifts where the pump (s) will work. As a first consideration we will see the importance of the homogeneity of the flows and pressures in a system that intends to use a single type of pump in its filter house.
