This paper is a study of type descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective drug consumption, which was designed to determine the characteristics of consumption of Piperacillin/Tazobactam in the services of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 2C and Intermediate Care Unit (NICU) 7B of the National Hospital Edgardo Rebagliati Martins - ESSALUD in 2009, by methodology of Defined Daily Doses (DDD/100 beds /day). The male gender had a higher consumption in both services with rates of 63.9% and 72.9% for ICU 2C and NICU 7B respectively. In units the consumption was higher in the service of NICU 7B 2256 than consumption of ICU 2C that was 1476 units. Annual consumption expressed in DDD/100 beds/day of Piperacillin/Tazobactam in the services of ICU 2C and NICU 7B was 5.87 and 8.28 respectively. The trend in consumption in the service of ICU 2C shows a p> 0.05, not statistically significant, the serv...

This research was aimed to draw the Total Isoflavones and determine the concentration of Total Isoflavone expressed in genistein in dry matter of grains or seeds of Glycine max L. (Soya) from the province of Jaen, Cajamarca, harvested in September by UV-Visible spectrophotometric method described by Kostennikova Z. adapted by the Chair of Pharmacobotany and Pharmacognosy,of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the UNT27. The Taxonomic Classification and Description of the species Glycine max L. (Soya) was held in the Herbarium Truxillense (HUT) of the Universidad National de Trujillo. Drying, grinding, degreasing and depigmentation of the drug, extraction and hydrolysis of glycosides of isoflavones, purification and UV-Visible spectrophotometric quantification was used to extract and quantify the total isoflavones. The concentration of Total Isoflavone expressed in Genistein was a...

The amount of total isoflavones from seed of Glycine max L. (Soy) from the province of Jaén-Cajamarca, was determined using the method of Kostennikova Z., and in vitro antioxidant capacity of total isoflavones expressed as “antiradical efficiency” (A.E.) was determined using the method of Brand-Williams, et al; both methods adapted by the Department of Pharmacognosy and pharmacobotany of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the UNT. The "antiradical efficiency” (A.E.) was calculated as the inverse of the product of the concentration of antioxidant needed to reduce by 50% the initial concentration of DPPH* "IC50"(obtained by linear correlation) and the time needed to achieve concentration IC50 “TIC50” (obtained by first order reaction kinetics) for total isoflavones that value was equal to 0.00250 x ng mL -1 x min-1. Both the IC50 as the TIC50 were determined graphically...
