Topics related to dementia in Colombia are associated with research on neurocognitive pathologies such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). It is necessary to establish strategies that encourage the development of new outputs that promote research on this subject due to its significance at both local and global levels, such as conducting exercises like the present one, which enables the traceability of scientific production on dementia—a topic of great medical, social, political, economic, and cultural value.
