Muestra la optimización del funcionamiento de la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales de origen domésticas, propiedad de Aquafil. A lo largo de la investigación se desarrolló la evaluación, análisis y optimización del tratamiento de aguas residuales mediante el adicionamiento de Biocarriers a los dos tanques reactores biológicos existentes, lo cual posibilitará que el sistema de lodos activados actual se transforme en un sistema “Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor” -MBBR- y que fundamentalmente consiste en el aumento de la biomasa en los tanques reactores lo cual permite una mayor degradación de la materia orgánica presente, con el cual se llegar a obtener un incremento del 40% de la capacidad total de tratamiento de la planta que es la meta.
