La presente tesis de investigación ha sido elaborada con la finalidad de determinar el planeamiento subterráneo y optimización de la flotación para la disminución del contenido de arsénico y valorización económica de un concentrado aurífero, en una estructura mineralizada de un yacimiento vetiforme tipo hidrotermal. Para el desarrollo del presente estudio, se tomaron 118 muestras que corresponden a 60 kg de material, obtenidos del depósito. Del muestreo efectuado, se realizaron análisis de ley de cabeza para oro y arsénico con un total de 48 kg y del resto de muestras que comprenden 12 kg, se utilizaron 6 kg para pruebas de flotación a nivel de laboratorio, caracterización mineralógica, peso específico y los otros 6 kg para RCU. The ore deposits in Ecuador are associated with narrow veins whose rock host is influenced by joints and stress that are sources of weakness, which needs to be studied for safe underground exploitation. Therefore, the objective of this research is to elaborate the geotechnical design for the underground mining stope in a narrow vein. For this purpose, the rocky massif was characterized using geomechanical classifications and its stability by means of Mathews' Graph. In addition, stress field, displacements and strength factor were examined using the failure criterion and RS2 software; additionally, the support was designed based on the quality of the rock mass and the mining method’s sequence.
