El área de estudio se ubica en el Centro de Investigación y Enseñanza Forestal (CIEFOR) Puerto Almendras - UNAP, distrito de San Juan Bautista, provincia de Maynas, región Loreto. El objetivo fue proporcionar información del crecimiento de las plántulas de tres especies forestales, Cedrelinga cateniformis (Ducke) "tornillo", lryanthera macrophylla"cumala colorada" y Simarouba amara Aublet "marupa", trasplantadas con pan de tierra y raíz desnuda, en bosque secundario.
