The purpose of this paper is inquired into the different dilemmas and tensionsexperienced by psychology students in their transition from university classroom to the pre-professional practice as a therapist in high school. The research is located in the qualitative paradigm, was carried out with 16 students studying the last year of the Psychology formation, through qualitative observation and depth interviews in the context of pre-professional practice. Six dilemmas and tensions experienced by learners in the transition from the classroom to the pre-practice were featured. We discuss about how identities are constantly re-negotiated and the resources that promote regulation with identity tensions in the pre-practice of novice psychologists.

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los diferentes dilemas y tensiones queestudiantes de Psicología vivencian en su transición de las aulas universitarias a la práctica pre-profesional como terapeutas en escuelas secundarias. La investigación se ubica en el paradigma cualitativo, se llevó a cabo con 16 estudiantes que cursaban el último año de la carrera de Psicología, se realizaron observaciones participantes y entrevistas a profundidad en el contexto de práctica pre-profesional. Se caracterizan seis dilemas y tensiones que vivenciaron los estudiantes en el tránsito del aula a la práctica pre-profesional. Se discute en torno a cómo las identidades son constantemente re-negociadas y los recursos que promueven la regulación de las tensiones identitarias en la práctica pre-profesional de psicólogos novatos.
