Los adventistas del séptimo día afirman que la Palabra de Dios contieneel “conocimiento necesario para la salvación”, es la fuente de doctrina, y“es el estandarte por el cual toda enseñanza y toda experiencia deben serprobadas”. No obstante, también mantienen que Elena de White tuvo undon profético válido y “autoritativo”. Aquí surge una pregunta importante:los escritos de Elena de White, ¿tienen la misma autoridad que la Biblia?Con el objetivo de responder a esta pregunta desde una perspectivahistórica, el presenté artículo desarrolla el entendiendo de la autoridad dela Biblia y la autoridad de Elena de White en el adventismo del séptimo día.

Seventh-day Adventists claims that the Word of God in the Bible contains the “knowledge necessary for salvation,” is the source of doctrine, and “is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested,” but also maintain that Ellen G. White had a valid and “authoritative” prophetic gift. Here arises the important question for us: do Ellen G. White‘s writings have the same authority than the Bible? In order to answer this question, this study will focus on showing the relationship between Ellen G. White’s authority and the authority of the Bible in Adventism from a historical perspective
