The study was conducted in four communities in four different watersheds in the Loreto region: Santa Isabel de Yumbaturo (Marañón basin), Puerto Rico (Amazon basin), Moena Caño (Itaya basin) and León Isla (Napo basin). The main objective was to determine the environmental, social and economic aspects of the use of Calycophyllum spruceanum Benth "capirona" in four riparian communities of the lower Amazon in the Loreto region, Peru. The approach was quantitative, the type of research was transversal - analytical, the level of research was basic, with non-experimental design. The results show that the environmental aspects of capirona in the study communities are determined by a favorable perception of capirona plantations, the recognition of the symbolism of capirona in the daily life of the community and the interest in promoting the plantations as places of attraction and recreation....
