Describir las estrategias de adaptación de los padres en la crianza de niños con Síndrome de Down que acuden al Centro de Educación Básica Especial “Los Pinos” de San Juan de Lurigancho, 2017. Metodología: El estudio es observacional, de nivel descriptivo, de diseño no experimental. La muestra estuvo constituida por 38 padres de familia. Resultados: En relación a la estrategia del área afectiva, el 55.3 % manifestaron que se vincularon con otros padres que tienen hijos con síndrome de Down, mientras que el 18.4% refirieron que buscaron apoyo espiritual, 13.2% padres se informaron sobre el síndrome de Down y con mismo porcentaje de 13.2% corresponde a los padres que buscaron apoyo emocional.
