This study aims to analyze the Hospital Solid Waste Management System and propose strategic points for the elaboration of a Hospital Solid Waste Management Plan. La presente tesis titulada ―”Evaluación del manejo de residuos sólidos hospitalarios en el Centro de Salud Ciudad Nueva del distrito de Ciudad Nueva – Tacna”. Tuvo como objetivo evaluar el manejo de los residuos sólidos hospitalarios generados en las diferentes áreas del Centro de Salud Ciudad Nueva, se evidenció que el 52,80% de los trabajadores del Centro de Salud Ciudad Nueva, tienen conocimiento sobre el manejo de los residuos sólidos hospitalarios, mientras que el 47,20% menciono que no. Los tipos de residuos sólidos hospitalarios en el Centro de Salud Ciudad Nueva están clasificados por residuos biocontaminados, residuos especiales y residuos comunes, según la NTS N° 096.
