Determinar las complicaciones de la técnica quirúrgica del TOT (trans obturator tape) en el tratamiento de la incontinencia urinaria esfuerzo femenina en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. Material y Método: Estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo, con todos los pacientes sometidos a intervención quirúrgica de TOT para tratamiento de incontinencia urinaria femenina en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo, durante el periodo 2005 - 2009 Resultados: De los 150 pacientes incluidos en nuestro estudio solo 56 (36.7%) pacientes presentaron complicaciones, no registrándose ninguna complicación intraoperatoria, y dentro de las complicaciones postoperatorias la más frecuente fue el dolor 15 (26.8%), granuloma 17.8%, estenosis vaginal y retención urinaria 10.71% respectivamente, extrusión de malla 7.14%, prolapso recidivante 5.36%.
