The present work deals with the installation of a retreader plant for OTR tires and the improvements that have been applied to it to consolidate the service provided to both open pit, underground and port tires; this service fulfills the same functions, characteristics and appearance of OTR tires but with the particularity of a tread produced in our plant. By using this tread, the customer postpones the need to buy a new tire and can maximize the life of their assets while also gaining a competitive advantage since the price of the retreading is significantly lower than that of a new tire. It is important to specify that the success of the project is also supported by the low supply that exists to meet this demand, since only two companies have the infrastructure and knowledge to be able to perform this service.
