We treated 10 patients with aplastic anemia res, two with hypercellular bone marrow, showing the first peripherally anemia and leukopenia and anemia only second. The remaining eight cases had aplastic bone marrow with peripheral pancytopenia. All patients received testosterone enanthate periods between three and twelve months, with intramuscular administration. Three patients were given 100 mgms. twice weekly. One received 100 mgms. twice a week but he died the first month of treatment. The rest received 250 MQMs. twice weekly. We managed to get a referral in five cases, one died and four were refractory to treatment. Remission was accompanied by normalization of ferrokinética.

The discovery of the ABO system agglutinogen corresponding , by Karl Landsteiner earlier (7) century marked the beginning of a new era in the field of hematology , classifying people into four blood groups, based on the fact that antigens A and B can be together, or individually absent. These groups started finding a large number , counting today with nine clearly defined systems and two systems like Diego and Sutter , which could be the tenth and eleventh, and even have been described several "private" antigens or low incidence and "public " or high incidence . Since the early work on blood groups in the determination of ABO and Rh -Hr system , carried out by several researchers as Landsteiner and Wiener in 1941 (5); Landsteiner , Wiener and Matson in 1942 (6); and Levin and Wong in 1943 (9) , have been made in most of the peoples of the world, have the greatest practical importan...

The term aplastic anemia has varied considerably in its true etymological sense , since its introduction in 1888 . Ehrlich (30 ) , at that time described a case of anemia, and thrombocytopenia Ieucopenia in the absence of marrow regeneration . Already B1umer ( 12) , in 1905 , the term aplastic anemia objects because many patients showed hypocellularity of the bone marrow, but this was normocellular . Subsequently Luzatto ( 78), two years later, described patients with pancytopenia with hypercellular bone marrow normocellular or under the name of seudoaplástica anemia. From this time have been used interchangeably , various denominations , with Rhoads and Baker ( 106 ) who try to unify the various manifestations of primary hematologic disorder of blood formation ; having studied in his review of 1938 , 100 cases of these patients , introducing the term refractory anemia, which divided in...
