In an era of environmental influence and the search for social solutions with a sustainable approach, the municipal authorities rehearse economic options with an environmental approach that contribute to the solution of the problems that affect their cities. One of them is the Municipal Solid Waste Management. The objective of the present investigation was to demonstrate which management mod- el-public, private or mixed- for the management of municipally managed solid waste is financially and environmentally sustainable over time.
