The research studies were carried out on the grounds of the UNAP - Zungaro Cocha farm, approximately 14 km from the Iquitos - Nauta highway. Its objective was to evaluate the agronomic characteristics and the yield of the cowpea bean crop, with the application of different organic fertilizers in high altitude soils. Three treatments with different fertilizers were evaluated, plus one treatment without fertilizer, which were installed in completely randomized block designs with four repetitions, planted with three plants per blow, equivalent to a population of 125,000 cowpea bean plants per hectare. Grain yields were recorded in grams per competitive plant, which were expressed in kilos per hectare.
