The Klingler dissection technique is a modified brain fixation and dissection strategy that uses freezing and thawing to reveal white matter tracts. It has been widely employed in brain anatomical investigations, allowing a better understanding of the cerebral hemispheres’ complex organization. It is notable for its usefulness in the separation of white and gray matters, facilitating the dissection of fiber tracts and providing a three-dimensional understanding of the architecture of white matter systems. Objective: Examine the historical evolution, protocols, and educational, medical, and surgical applications of the Klingler dissection technique.
