La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la capacidad de los estudiantes de comunicación social de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos para valorar la credibilidad de noticias; así mismo, como objetivo específico es evaluar su capacidad por medio de la variable sexo, nivel de estudio y especialidad de la carrera. Acerca del método, fue de corte cuantitativo, alcance descriptivo, diseño no experimental y de tipo transversal, se usó dos noticias para la investigación, una falsa y otra real.
