This work is an approximation to a deeper analysis of Peru’s trade negotiations processes, with the aim to develop a medium term negotiation’s strategy.Through the document, the importance of World Trade Organization’s negotiations is outlined because, on one hand, there are increasing interrelations and interdependencies among trade negotiations of the Doha Round, the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) and the probable Free Trade Area with the United States (FTA-US); and, on the other hand, WTO’s negotiations face greater difficulties which are reflected on the road towards the Ministerial Meeting of Cancun in September 2003.Furthermore, the  document presents probable settings of negotiation and predicts that, from the FTA-US negotiations or a FTAA, Peru would only achieve greater market access conditions, but deeper trade rules would only be obtained in the framework of...
