The objective of this study was to define a technology package, in order to provide an inventory of the technologies used during the processing of the Peruvian green coffee with specialty coffee qualities to export, supported by a technological management perspective. The methodology relied on a technology package construction, by identifying, describing and quantifying four of its components, based on a systematic literature review, and five professional’s endorsements; each of them knowledgeable of the technologies used in agricultural products processing. Here, semi-structured interviews (Massachusetts Institute of Technology protocol) were used. As a result, a technology package was obtained with 79 generic technologies, 76 of these are involved during the processing activities, which develop physical, sensorial and cultural specialty coffee qualities, valuable for foreign markets....

The transaction costs faced by Peruvian exporters are much higher than those faced by exporters from other Latin American countries. The reduction or elimination of these costs would require knowledge of their sources. However, as far as is known for the Peruvian case, they have not yet been identified. Therefore, grounded on the economic theory of transaction costs (TCT), this study had two objectives, the first one was to identify the main sources of the transaction costs confronted by Peruvian exporters who use the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE). The second objective was to expand the knowledge field related to the study of transaction costs in international trade.
