El objetivo del presente estudio fue de determinar la relación que existe entre la degradación del suelo, la infiltración de agua, la vegetación y el estado actual de conservación de las comunidades vegetales en el Sector San Bernardo del distrito de Laberinto, Provincia de Tambopata, departamento de Madre de Dios. La población de estudio está representada por una parcela de 10 km x 10 km. distribuida en 4 tipos de comunidades vegetales. La muestra fue seleccionada al azar, está constituida por 160 parcelas de 0,1 ha, y 4 sub-muestras de 0,01 ha respectivamente. Los datos obtenidos fueron procesados con la ayuda de los programas Excel y SPSS, Past, versión 3,2. StimateS versión 9,1 (Colwell 2013). The rapid urban and agricultural expansion cause severe impacts on soil water infiltration capacity, but these effects have not yet been sufficiently investigated, especially in the Peruvian Amazon. The study aimed to analyze the variations in speed and soil infiltration in two vegetation cover types (primary intervened forest and pasture) in the Peruvian Amazon. The infiltration rate of the soil was measured using the single ring infiltrometer; three samples were collected in the pasture and six in the primary forest. With the values obtained, the infiltration curves were constructed. To evaluate differences in infiltration capacity between cover vegetation types, we used the t‑Student test.
