In Ecuador there is no information on taxonomy of Phytoseiidae. In the present study, the chaetotaxic variations were determinated in populations of Neoseiulus sp. and Typhlodromus sp. (Acari: Phytoseiidae) in cultivars of the Ambato canton (Ecuador). Specimens of Phytoseiidae were collected in plants of Fragaria ananassa cv. Albion and Rubus glaucus cv. Mora de Castilla .
