Demonstrate in vitro antibacterial effect of Eleutherine bulbosa on Escherichia coli isolated from urine culture. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Experimental study of antibacterial effect concentrations (10%, 20%, 40% and 60%) of ethanol extract of Eleutherine bulbous on the bacteria Escherichia coli, performing 16 repetitions for each concentration, and the minimum inhibitory concentration was determined by dilution technique in tubes. Also, both methods previously described with ciprofloxacin as control was performed. Test analysis of variance design was used completely randomized using the F test and Duncan test for multiple comparisons. Both with a significance of 5%.
