El objetivo general fue construir y determinar las evidencias de la validez y confiabilidad del Inventario de compromiso ético en docentes (ICE). El diseño fue no experimental, transversal y descriptivo de carácter evaluativo. El muestreo fue no probabilístico de tipo intencional y la muestra estuvo conformada por 401 docentes, varones y mujeres, de 25 a 60 años y de instituciones educativas públicas. Entre los principales resultados se halló que el ICE está conformado por dos dimensiones: Justicia y Compasión, que contienen 6 indicadores cada uno y un total de 54 ítems. Presenta evidencias de validez basada en el contenido (coeficiente V de Aiken para cada dimensión de Justicia y Compasión de .96).
