This research project entitled: "Level of knowledge about hypertension and level of self-care in adults of the Disease Control Program at the ESSALUD 11 Hospital­ Tarapoto: April-July 2012" was structured as descriptive correlational of transversal type, having this a quantitative approach, which had as an objective to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge about hypertension and level of self-care of the hypertensive patients. The research project sample population was comprised of 165 patients who met the criteria of the study. Determina las medidas de bioseguridad que aplica el personal de salud en el área de quirófano en la Clínica San Miguel Arcángel. Estudio de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo, método descriptivo de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 25 personas. Entre los resultados se observa que del 100 % (25), 64% (16) aplica y 36% (9) no aplican las medidas de bioseguridad. En la dimensión lavado de manos 88% (22) se lavan las manos al ingresar al servicio de Quirófano. En la dimensión uso de barreras de protección 100% (25); utiliza gorro dentro del quirófano y 96% (24) no utiliza protección ocular durante la cirugía. En la dimensión manejo de residuos sólidos, 100% (25) colocan los desechos punzocortantes en contenedores especiales mientras que 24% (5) re encapsulan las agujas para desecharlos en el contenedor especial.
