The study was conducted in the city of Iquitos and aimed to determine the variability of temperatures (maximum, average, and minimum); relative humidity; and rainfall during the period from 2000 to 2020, as well as their impact on the health and well-being of the population of Iquitos. The hypothesis proposed was that: (1) temperatures (maximum, minimum, and average), relative humidity, and rainfall experienced significant fluctuations during the period from 2000 to 2020; and (2) climate variability had a significant impact on the health and well-being of the population. Meteorological data from SENAMHI (2000-2020) were analyzed and surveys were applied to 117 Iquitos inhabitants to evaluate the impact on endemic, respiratory, and skin diseases, as well as on physical, economic, and social well-being.
