RESUMEN La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre los Estilos de Socialización Parental y las Habilidades sociales en estudiantes de instituciones educativas femeninas privadas de la ciudad de Trujillo. Se trabajó con un diseño correlacional. La población fue de 380 estudiantes, seleccionándose la muestra de manera aleatoria probabilística quedando un total de 190 alumnas cuyas edades oscilaban entre 15 y 16 años. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron la Escala de Estilos de Socialización Parental en la Adolescencia (ESPA 29) Musitu y García y la escala de Habilidades Sociales de Elena Gismero. The objective of this research work is to determine the influence of the personal development program based on the solution-focused approach in improving behavioral adaptation in incoming students of the Universidad Privada del Norte - Trujillo 2019. The sample size consisted of 45 students, from the psychology degree. This research is of pre-experimental design since it has a pre and post-test. The hypothesis testing data were collected using the Behavior Adaptation Inventory (IAC), which is made up of 123 items, and the statistical processing was performed using the SPSS statistical software.
