Background: Heterotopic ossification (OH) is a complication described in patients with neurological damage. Case report: Patient who suffered a multiple trauma and traumatic brain injury (TBI), with fractures and neurological deficit secondary to TBI, who presented several heterotopic ossifications (OH) during his evolution that compromised the achievement of functional objectives. The main manifestation was swelling and limitation of the articular range (RA) for the extension of the left hip and knee, which kept the lower left limb (MI) flexed, preventing standing and walking. He was diagnosed as osteoma secondary to neurological trauma and received structured medical management, which included surgical intervention: “resection of the osteoma and tenotomy in hamstrings”, obtaining improvement of the joint range, chieving standing and walking with biomechanical support. Objetive: Compare the severity of neurological damage and the clinical and demographic characteristics of two cohorts of patients with traumatic cervical spinal cord injury (CTSCI) at discharge from rehabilitation, in two specialized institutions. Material and Methods: This is an analytical and retrospective observational study, comparing patients with CTSCI treated at the National Institute of Rehabilitation (INR) of Peru and the Institut Guttmann of Spain. Clinical, demographic, and clinical outcome variables were described and analyzed. Results: The CTSCI in both groups affects males in more than 85%, the mean age of the Guttmann I. patients was 46.35 ± 21.03 years, and the INR was 37.1 ± 1.47 years. La finalidad de la investigación fue describir el comportamiento de la infección del tracto urinario sintomática, en pacientes con lesión de la médula espinal, hospitalizados en el Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación, durante el periodo comprendido entre enero - setiembre 2017. Se realizó un estudio de tipo observacional, descriptivo, retrospectivo, de corte transversal, en una población de 81 personas constituida por pacientes que fueron hospitalizados para recibir tratamiento de rehabilitación integral en el Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación, durante los meses de enero a setiembre de 2017. Se utilizó una ficha de recolección de datos.
