The article sets out to study the Ni Una Menos Perú 2016 movement with the objectives of identifying and analyzing the game of tensions and negotiations between the several feminist collectives that participated in the August 13, 2016 march. This march presents different ways of carrying out politics between new collectives and established feminist organizations in a context of global relations, social networks, and within the authoritarian Peruvian society. This interaction also reveal the intersection between gender and race, class, and ethnicity. The study seeks to address how a movement that became a platform for thousands of women who brave to narrate violence accounts to which they were subjects, become fragmented. The study consists of seven in-depth interviews to members of the most active and diverse collectives.

En esta investigación se intenta reconstruir la experiencia de la modernidad a partir de las prácticas culturales que se expresaron en el desarrollo de las diversiones públicas y los deportes que comenzaron a aparecer a fines del siglo XIX. Se verá cómo ambos dieron lugar a una nueva forma de sensibilidad estética, a nuevas costumbres y nuevos valores que apuntaban a la construcción del ideal de ciudad moderna y finalmente de nación. Las diversiones, en tanto actividades recreativas de esparcimiento destinadas a proporcionar un espacio para la relajación y en las que participan distintos sectores de la población, constituyen una rica fuente de información para conocer la transformación de los valores, actitudes, costumbres y formas de sociabilidad que se operan en la sociedad limeña.

Lima at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century can be analyzed as a period of change and a key stage for understanding how the experience of modernity developed in Lima society. For the State and the modernizing elite that led this process, it was not only a material modernization of the city, but also a series of reforms with the aim of creating a modern national culture and therefore a bourgeois individual. In this modernizing project, the presence of European immigrants in particular was seen as a means to realize this ideal.

In this paper I will show how the transformations promoted by the State and a local elite in Lima at the end of the century are part of an ideal of modernity. This ideal, common in Latin American elites and under the protection of positivist ideas, was not only associated with material progress but was also accompanied by the need to create a modern national culture, for which values, customs and customs were promoted. according to the European way of life. What were the means with which they tried to impose this new lifestyle? An approach to the world of fun, of the entertainment spread by this elite suggests some analytical clues for understanding this experience of modernity.
