With the objective of prove the prevalence of the Helicobacter pylori (flp) in odontology students and establish the relation between the positive seroreactors and related symptomatologies to Hp, like: stress, gastritis, ulcer and cancer it was selected a random population sample of 91 students between 15-24 years old, for the detection of IgG antibodies in sera using the Kit Platelia R. To the same population sample ¡t was applied a personal information form lo be filled by the students. Front a total of 91 students that have finished the study, ¡t was founded a general seroprevalence of the Hp in 72,5 % (66/91), with sexual prevalence of 68,3 and 76 %, in women and men, respectively. At the time of relate the personal information, with the positive seroreactors, it was founded that: the 73,1 % (19/26) have stress, 61,5 % (8/13) have gastritis y 100 % (2/2) have ulcer. With regard to ...

In an analitic study of the Parasitology and microbiology and the Peruvian Parasitology congresses and many national publications about, of the last 25 years, it has been abstracted prevalence ciphers of the parasitic diseases in the human intestinal-hepatic segment, that had been taken using the microscopic-fecal test. Using this test, we could obtain 31306 samples, principally of students from: the urban, suburb and rural areas, in almost all over the country. It could be found the following average ciphers: 27.4% (with limits between 0.5-95.0) for nematodes (Ascaris, Trichuris, Uncinarias: Necator orancylostoina, Strongyloides, Enterobius); 6.1% (with limits between 0.2-50.0) for cestodes (Taenia, Hymenolepis, Diphyllobothrium); 6.8% (with limits between 0.3-17.9) for Fasciola; and 17.4% (with limits between 0.3-58.1) forprotozoa (Entamoeba, Giardia, Endolimax, Balantidium, Chilomasti...

With the aim to determine the antimícrobial action of the essential oil of Methosthachys mollis (Muña); in design at random one strains standard ATCC of Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus sp, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Actinobacillus actinomicetencomitans and Actinomyces sp, to: Amoxicilina (positive witness), essential oil of Methosthachys mollis and, distilled water (negative witness); to measure the halos of antitmicrobial action. For the mentioned bacteria one found, respectively, in Amoxicilina the following diameters averages in mm: 68; 42,75; 50,5; 51,58 and 33,25; in Methosthachys mollis: 16,50; 14,38; 20,13; 18,43 and 11. These results are statistically different. Halo of antimicrobial action was not observed in the negative witness. One concludes that Methosthachys mollis has antimicrobial effects on the most important oral bacteria, with an average of 16,75 mm of diameter of ...

The present research concening the biocompatibility of fluoridated glass iotioniers on the dentin surface was developed, using sample of 30 extracted teeth with lesions on occlusal surfaces and without extension into the inteproximal surfaces. This condition was verified in pediatric patients receiving care in the UNMSM Dental clinic. During the period of the research all three cements studied resulted in similar clinical performance with no reports of pain in any of the treatment cases, being similar the clinical behavior of the three studied cements. With respect to the marginal seal, our appraisal determined that the FUJI IX cement offered the best seal of the dentinal wall and that the IONOMOLAR cement resulted in the greatest leakage at this level. The observations taken during the bacteriologic phase showed a reduction in the level of streptococcus mutans in 70% of the samples stud...
