The objective was to determine if the type of mother tongue practiced in the Peruvian population is associated with educational level, literacy level, age, sex, and geographic domain. A descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study from the national household survey-2022 was carried out. The sampling was probabilistic, of areas, stratified. The Chi-square test was performed. The variables were: mother tongue, age, educational level, geographic domain, sex, and literacy. 4.2% and 0.5% of native language speakers reached university and postgraduate level, respectively, in contrast to Spanish speakers with 12.4% and 1.3% respectively. 65.2% of native language practitioners belong to the Sierra, 48.7% of native language speakers do not know how to read or write, adolescents are the age group that speaks the most Spanish while intermediate and older adults speak mainly native languages. This study aimed to evaluate the association between Internet use with geographical area and mother tongue in the Peruvian population. A descriptive, observational and cross-sectional study was carried out. The information was obtained from the National Household Survey belonging to the National Statistics and Informatics Institute, which included 15,360 people from different regions of the country. The association analysis was carried out using the Chi square test, the intensity of association was carried out with the Phi and Cramer's V correlation tests considering an alpha value of less than 0.05. Data processing and analysis was carried out with the SPSS 25 program. It was found that the Sierra and Selva regions had less Internet use than the Coast and Metropolitan Lima regions (p=0.000). Materials and methods: Descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study based on information obtained from the database of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), referring to the demographic and family health survey (ENDES) of the year 2021, which included a two-stage sample, probabilistic, stratified and independent, designed to be nationally representative. The variables considered were whether or not the patient received any iron supplement during pregnancy and the size of the child at birth.
