La investigación se trata de un estudio comparativo-retrospectivo. La técnica usada es la encuesta según la escala de Likert (41 preguntas) dirigida a gestores de la Universidad Privada José Carlos Mariátegui (UJCM) de Moquegua y de la Universidad Privada de Tacna (UPT). El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en el Laboratorio de Fisiología Animal de la Universidad de San Agustín (Arequipa) y el Laboratorio de Química de Proteínas (LAQUIP) del Instituto de Biología de la Universidad Estatal de Campinas (Brasil). Se purificó una lectina de semillas de Buddleja coriacea R. (“colle negro”, Buddlejaceae) mediante dos pasos cromatográficos: cromatografía de exclusión molecular en Sephadex G75 y cromatografía líquida de alta precisión de fase reversa (HPLC). La electroforesis bidimensional (2D) en SDS-PAGE demostró que la lectina es homogénea con un único spot proteico de ~ 12 kDa y un punto isoeléctrico de 5.3.
