La investigación analiza la relación entre el tipo de maloclusión dentaria y el nivel de autoestima en adolescentes de una institución educativa de San Martín de Porres, Lima, durante el año 2025. Se desarrolló un estudio observacional, transversal y analítico con una muestra de 290 adolescentes de 12 a 18 años seleccionados mediante muestreo aleatorio simple. La maloclusión fue clasificada según el sistema de Angle y la autoestima evaluada mediante la escala de Rosenberg; el análisis estadístico se realizó con la prueba de Chi-cuadrado de Pearson (α = 0.05). Los resultados mostraron que la Clase III fue la maloclusión más prevalente (49.0%), seguida de la Clase I (36.90%) y la Clase II (14.10%). The objective of this article is to discuss virtual education in the dental area within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges it represents.
