A Truth Commission (TC) was carried out in Brazil (2012-2014) to investigate human rights violations perpetrated by state agents, especially during the military dictatorship (1964-1985). TCs are supposed to help societies on the reconstruction of social cohesion after authoritarian or violent periods. We conducted three studies with undergraduate students and adult samples between 2014 and 2017. Evaluating the TC as effective was related to higher punctuations on the variables of social cohesion, even controlling the effects of political positioning. The TC effectiveness perception was associated with the emotional reaction (both, negative or positive) and a positive attitude towards remembering the past. Nonetheless, we found some different results across the three studies. These differences are discussed.

El proyecto arquitectónico de tesis está centrado en repensar el mercado de abastos como se conoce en la actualidad, contemplando no solo espacios de intercambio de productos sino un lugar de interacción social y cultural utilizando el espacio público como herramienta principal para lograr dicho objetivo. A lo largo de la investigación se analiza el contexto real, las bases teóricas y normativas, siempre teniendo en cuenta la esencia del mercado de abastos, en donde se produce el intercambio de experiencias, costumbres, tradiciones y otros rasgos que caracterizan a los diferentes actores de una sociedad. Con el proyecto arquitectónico propuesto se buscó que el mercado sea reconocido por su aporte humano en un contexto en donde este rasgo se va desligando de la nueva arquitectura.

In academic literature, there is a lack of agreement on the conceptualization of fear of crime. Thus, some research proposes that this construct should be measured unidimensionality. Other research defends the idea that fear of crime should be categorized in multidimensional terms. The aim of this study is to propose a systematic review of the construct of fear of crime in Ibero-Latin American with the objective of identifying its conceptualizations and associated variables. Using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review) methodology, articles published in Spanish were searched in the following databases: Scielo (n = 194), Redalyc (n = 270), Latindex (n = 5) y Dialnet (n = 176).
