El objetivo de la presente tesis es: Determinar que existe relación entre litiasis biliar o colecistectomía con síndrome metabólico en pacientes del hospital II- EsSalud, Huánuco 2014. Los métodos utilizados son: Un estudio de casos y controles se llevó a cabo en 360 sujetos (213 hombres y 147 mujeres) todos pacientes asegurados en EsSalud y que fueron evaluados a fin de formar parte del programa "Reforma de vida" en la misma institución. Se incluyeron 180 personas con síndrome metabólico (casos) y 180 que no presentaban síndrome metabólico (controles); se excluyeron a las personas menores de 18 años y a las personas con enfermedad psiquiátrica. Se realizó una encuesta en la que se le preguntaba a las personas su edad, género, tipo de dieta, antecedentes patológicos familiares, síndrome metabólico y colecistectomía. Introduction: The objective of the present study was to determine that a relationship exists between gallstones or cholecystectomy in patients with metabolic syndrome Hospital II - Essalud, Huanuco 2014. Methods: A study of cases and controls was performed on a case-A crosssectional study was conducted on 360 subjects (213 men and 147 women) all insured patients EsSalud and were evaluated to be part of program "Reform of life" in the same institution. 180 people with metabolic syndrome (cases) and 180 who did not have metabolic syndrome (controls) were included; is excluded people under 18 and people with psychiatric illness.
