This study was undertaken to determine the occupational risk factors related to sharps injuries in nursing technicians Support Hospital Santa Gema in Yurimaguas, January to December 201O. Quantítative approach was used; the sample was 40 nursing technicians Support Hospital Santa Gema, chosen by random sampling. Data were collected using a validated by experts. Data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS (17.0) for Windows Vista virtual environment 2007, we used the nonparametric statistical test or chi-square distribution-free (X2C), and a <0.05.
