People who have been diagnosed with HIV positive often experience distress and anxiety due to uncertainties related to the implications of an HIV positive status. There are limited formal networks for HIV support and psychological help. With this in mind, structured support groups were implemented for newly diagnosed HIV positive pregnant women.
