The versions of the Myth of Inkarri that Thomas Müller makes known on this occasion, are added to two others that were collected, in the same locality, at the end of the 50s by Oscar Núñez del Prado and Efraín Morote Best. The locality referred to is the Q'eros community, which is reputed to be one of the most traditional in the Andean area and has attracted the interest of many anthropologists, including ourselves.

The Q'ero community is located in the heights of the limit of the provinces of Paucartambo and Quispicanchi, in the Department of Cusco. The territory covered by it -a total of 85,000 hectares-, reaches from 4,8000 meters. up to 1,800. The community is made up of about 500 people or 9 families (there are only 13 surnames!), who live in seven high altitude populations between 3,800 and 4,300 above sea level.

Con este artículo queremos relatar el diálogo entre Pacchanta y las instituciones estatales e intergubernamentales, pero también el proceso que sufrió Paccahnta, al detectar sus posibilidades y sus propias debilidades internas a través de la discusión sobre la necesidad y el futuro uso de un canal de irrigación.
