Objective: Candida albicans is an opportunistic fungus responsible for persistent oral and endodontic infections, whose prevalence has increased due to resistance to conventional antifungal treatments. In this context, natural compounds with antifungal activity represent a promising alternative. This study aimed to evaluate the antifungal activity of the ethanolic extract of Curcuma longa L. (EECl) against C. albicans ATCC 10231. Materials and Methods: The antifungal activity was assessed using the agar well diffusion method. EECl was tested at concentrations of 100, 50, 25, and 12.5 mg/mL. Nystatin was used as the positive control. Objective. To determine the relationship between the presence of peritraumatic distress associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and demographic characteristics in dentists from Lima and Callao - Peru in 2021. Materials and methods. Cross-sectional study of 236 participants who responded to a virtual survey between June and November 2021. The social characteristics of the dentists were recorded and a translated, adapted and validated version of the COVID-19 Peritraumatic Distress Index (CPDI) questionnaire was used. For bivariate analysis, the chi-square test was used. Results. The mean peritraumatic distress score was 25.46 (±12.401).
