We evaluated the nutritional status of children aged 3 to 6 years of age who are studying in the Initial Educational Institution San Juan Bautista No. 1679, the Alambre - Trujillo. Was evaluated during the period May - June 2016, we used the WHO Child Growth Standards - 2010 ESSALUD for this purpose. It was considered: the height/age in z scores (cm/months) and the body mass index (BMI) in z scores (Kg/m2). The nutritional state was classified in: normal, severe thinness (height/age), risk of severe thinness (height/age), overweight and obesity. According to the parameter height for age, it was found that the nutritional status of women is normal in a 91% , 9% presented low height, in the case of men 80% has a normal nutritional status, 20% presented low height, considering the body mass index of girls it was found that 60% corresponds to normal, 30% obesity, 10 per cent risk of thinness...
