«Songs of Home», the shortest section of The Black Heralds, is composed of five poems, four of which are developed in the context of the home, in an intimate and family environment, with a marked subjective, emotional and spiritual character, almost always dominated by the image of the father. The linear dimension of the time combines the present with the past, with a strong psychological character. The integration of the three magnitudes —present, past and future— only occurs in the poem «Enereida». The perspective of construction of the poems is personal, as something primordial that happens, feels and worries the enunciator himself; therefore, other people do not feel or consider themselves represented. En el presente texto se ofrece un panorama nacional sobre la publicación de revistas de literatura infantil en el Perú desde el siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. Se puede apreciar que esta actividad se realiza en varias ciudades y regiones del país, aunque, por lo general, no se trata de un proceso continuo, de periodicidad regular, sino que está expuesto a una serie de factores que no siempre favorecen una edición permanente. El propósito general que anima la edición de estas publicaciones es promover la difusión del libro y la lectura entre los niños y jóvenes, estimular la creatividad, difundir experiencias didácticas, difundir la publicación de nuevos libros y apoyar la educación. El trabajo está dirigido especialmente a los educadores, niños, jóvenes, escritores, editores, artistas gráficos y padres de familia.

En el presente ensayo presentamos un panorama sobre la producción intelectual de investigadores educacionales; por lo tanto, no se trata de estudios biográficos, sino de concepciones, aportes, planteamientos y experiencias volcadas en el libro. El estudio, en realidad, forma parte de una investigación mucho más amplia referida al pensamiento educativo producido y desarrollado en La Libertad. En esta oportunidad, el ámbito está delimitado por el quehacer intelectual producido en las provincias de Sánchez Carrión (Huamachuco), Santiago de Chuco y Otusco.
